5 Items I can’t stop wearing
Just like 2020, I didn’t go out much this year. Seeing I worked from home, I only went out for meetings and errands.
Which means I didn’t get to dress up much. However I am obsessed with my 2021 style. I finally know what I really like and what my style really is. It’s basically “Normcore”
I’ve already spoken about the anatomy of my wardrobe, so you already know how much I love basics. They make dressing up so easy for me because that means one less decision I have to make (if you’re an entrepreneur, you know). They are easy to style and I love the aesthetic they give off.
So let’s get into the five things I’ve been wearing a lot of lately.
Caps
First on the list because I wear these everyday with everything. They are great on bad hair days but most days I wear them even on good hair days. I just love the casualness they bring to each of my fit. My favourites include a black Vans cap that I bought at Windhoek Showgrounds and a Los Angeles print cap that I got at Cotton On. I’ve tried to add a few more from random shops but I hate them so I will just spend 2 million in Cotton On - they have the best ones.
Skirts
I am loving skirts right now! I wasn’t sure about the tennis skirt trend but then I saw dark coloured versions? Sold! Also they reminded me of high school uniform skirts. Cute. At some point I even brought out the sewing machine and made a skirt with a slit. I also added it to the line of items I will be making for my fashion brand (don’t ask me when that launches 💀)
Another skirt I’m wearing regularly is this one from Mr Price. Pleated in the front and normal at the back.
Tank Tops
I wear these with my dress pants or skirts or jeans. They make my fits look like I tried.
My current faves are from Mr Price and Cotton On.
Most days I wear them as is. Other days I throw an overshirt over it.
Over Shirts
I spoke about them in my winter YouTube vlog but I’m still wearing them in summer. I usually wear them over my tank tops.
Sandals
I definitely wear my Chanel dupe sandals almost every day. Not only do they go with everything, they are sooooo comfortable.
What did you wear a lot of this year?
