Currently I Am

The earth feels like it’s in the microwave—just spinning and spinning. Every week, it’s something new, lol.

Honestly, 2025 has been coming at me fast—barely catching my breath, and not in an I’m so busy kind of way, but in a everything has gone sideways kind of way.

While I try to straighten things out, I figured now is the perfect time for a “Currently I Am” entry. Lesssgooo.

Currently I Am...

Watching

My favorite shows before their final seasons drop, starting with You, the thriller with Penn Badgley aka Joe Goldberg. I’ve been obsessed since season one—the plot is refreshing, and so is the storytelling. But honestly, Stranger Things? No show does storytelling like it. I’m not even a huge sci-fi fan, but this one really got me—the plot, the characters, and the 70s fashion. Unless there’s something better? Put me on!

Listening To

My TikTok Saves, lol. That TikTok/Apple Music integration? Genius. I’ve discovered so many gems, and the fact that I can add them to a playlist with a single tap? Love that for me. Most days, when I don’t know what I want to listen to, I just throw that playlist on.

Reading

Entrepreneurship has been kicking my ass, but my new business partner recently gifted me Creative Directions by Jason Sperling, and I feel so seen. I’m only on the Managing People chapter, but it’s already validating my entire journey. Can’t wait to dig into the rest.

Wearing

Just got these green Adidas Spezials, so expect to see me in them everywhere for the foreseeable future. Other than that, I’ve been having fun with loafers and colorful socks. Need to expand my collection, so if you spot solid-colored socks (no prints!), send them my way. Send it to me Racheellll….

Building

My personal brand. I spent the past two to three years focused on Beso Media and completely neglected my own brand. I even stopped taking interviews. This year, I’m making an effort to rebuild, so far I have:

  • Relaunched this website

  • Designed my brand identity

  • Finally updated my LinkedIn (just yesterday!)

Slowly but surely, BS the brand will thrive again.

Learning

To let go of control. I plan so much and so well, but this year has been a lesson in how things can still go completely left. The past two months have felt like walking against strong winds—like nothing I do changes the situation. Learning to let go has helped me navigate the storms with a regulated nervous system.

Worried

About the state of the world. The US is a mess. War is still a thing in 2025—will never understand it. The economy? I’m feeling the pinch. And climate change? The earth is literally acting up, and it’s so obvious the effects are already here.

Excited

About having a female president and what this might mean for the country. I really hope she’s the kind of leader who genuinely cares about people’s rights and livelihoods.

Proud

Of my team and everyone around me who’s trying to navigate the chaos. Everyone I know is going through something, and honestly? I’m just proud of us all for doing the best we can.

Enjoying

My daily walks. I started walking more, even downloaded the Pacer app to track my streaks. But more than anything, I love the clarity my walks bring—the time to listen to a podcast or a playlist and just process everything circling in my mind.

Dealing

With growing pains. Scaling my creative agency has been hard. I’ve had to rethink every detail of the business, make tough decisions, and shift my mindset. Grateful to have people guiding me through it.

Looking Forward To

The end of these retrogrades, eclipses, and whatever else has been making life extra hard lately. I’m manifesting things finally clicking—a slower, more stable life.
