My go-to winter outfit

The only thing cute about winter is winter fashion. The layering, the coats, jackets, sweaters, you name it.

For me, warmth over anything. I made a mistake the other day and wore a skirt. Safe to say I slept at 7 pm that night because caught the cold. But winter won’t catch me slipping again, it’s all warmth from here on.

With that said, my all time winter go-to outfit has always been a pair of jeans and a sweater and a pair of sneakers or cute ankle boots.

I like a sweater thick enough to keep me warm, but when it isn’t I usually throw a leather jacket or blazer over it. Just like my overall closet, I usually opt for neutral colour sweaters, that way it’s easier to pair it with any color bottoms or jackets.

This one I bought for a colour challenge I did a year ago, I decided to keep it because I loved the colour and the fit. It’s actually a men’s sweater in the size large from Jet.

I tucked it into a pair of blue mom jeans from Cotton On. I’m a huge fan of mom jeans and all things high waisted. I don’t think I own any low waisted jeans. If I do I don’t wear it. Lol.

In winter almost all my outfits are based on a pair of jeans. I try to have at least one pair that isn’t ripped for you know, those meetings or events.

For shoes I wear sneakers the most and then other days, ankle boots.

For this outfit I added my white dad sneakers from MRP.

I didn’t have any meetings today so I was cool with being all casual but I wasn’t going to let the cold defeat me again so I brought a long my oversized blazer as an add on just in case I started to feel extra cold.

If I was heading out to meetings I would have worn a little heeled ankle boots instead of these kicks. 😉

That’s my go-to winter outfit. What’s yours?
